Physicians in Private Practice

Barriers and challenges faced by these clinicians include creation of a new intensivist program, program fund allocation by hospital administrators, division of time between the OR and the ICU, use of the recovery room (PACU) for critically ill patient overflow, transition from academics to private practice, private practice career opportunities for critical care anesthesiology fellows, billing considerations, and a host of other issues encountered by those in private practice.

This Subcommittee is a forum for people to share their experiences, concerns, questions, and perspectives.
