Clinical Practice CommitteeThe Clinical Practice Committee (CPC) of the Society of Critical Care Anesthesiologists (SOCCA) serves as a collaborative forum to enhance member engagement and foster cross-disciplinary partnership across subspecialties within anesthesiology-based critical care. The CPC supports a growing portfolio of initiatives aimed at improving clinical practice, sharing expertise, and promoting innovation. Through its subcommittees, the CPC integrates diverse clinical perspectives into the broader work of SOCCA, contributing to the Society’s mission of advancing excellence in critical care. It focuses on developing educational content and clinical guidelines to improve outcomes throughout the transplant continuum. Mechanical Circulatory Support/ECMO/CTICU SubcommitteeThis subcommittee is leading efforts to standardize MCS education for intensivists. In collaboration with ELSO, it is building accessible training resources for programs of all sizes. Quality and Safety SubcommitteeFocused on perioperative safety for critically ill patients, this group is building a community around QI initiatives, shared protocols, and a library of resources for ICU teams. Neurocritical Care SubcommitteeThis subcommittee brings together providers caring for neurologically injured patients. Early projects include practice model benchmarking and collaboration with SNACC. Obstetrical Critical Care Medicine SubcommitteeAddressing the unique challenges of critical illness in pregnancy, this subcommittee works closely with SOAP to develop guidelines and improve maternal-fetal outcomes. Global Critical Care Medicine SubcommitteePartnering to further the cause of anesthesiologist intensivists and their patients worldwide. |
