Education CommitteeThe Education Committee of the Society of Critical Care Anesthesiologists (SOCCA) plans and supervises the educational and scientific content of the SOCCA Annual Meeting. It also collaborates with the ASA Educational Track Subcommittee on Critical Care to assist with planning and content within the Anesthesiology meeting's Critical Care Medicine track. The committee collaborates with other other societies in organizing and hosting joint educational sessions. Apart from meeting planning, the committee aims to identify and create professional development resources and enduring educational content for critical care trainees and SOCCA members to improve knowledge, competence, skills, and effectiveness. The subcommittee curates high-yield content and coordinates expert instruction to enhance exam readiness. Journal Club SubcommitteeThe Journal Club Subcommittee develops and hosts SOCCA’s virtual journal club series, offering open-access discussions of recent and impactful literature in critical care. Sessions are open to all and aim to foster scholarly dialogue and critical appraisal skills. Question Bank SubcommitteeThe Question Bank Subcommittee partners with external organizations to support the development of high-quality, relevant multiple-choice questions aligned with the content domains of anesthesiology-based critical care. The subcommittee helps ensure educational resources reflect current best practices and evolving knowledge. Webinar SubcommitteeThe Webinar Subcommittee curates and delivers SOCCA’s webinar series, featuring expert panels on emerging topics, clinical controversies, and professional development in critical care anesthesiology. These sessions offer accessible, high-value education for members and the broader critical care community. |
